I wanted to make sure that I reviewed this, as this item has gotten some bad reviews that it really doesn't deserve. I noticed that most people gave 1-2 stars because the thread size was not what they were expecting.I purchased this knowing that it was threaded for a standard garden hose nozzle. This is exactly what I received. Arrowhead makes a fine threaded one as well, which is intended for use on some of their hydrants with a fine thread end.Just make sure before you buy it that you search the web and get the correct product number!As far as the product itself- the brass looks like it is quality metal. The unit itself is heavy and seems well made. The best feature is the AUTO DRAIN function. Most of the other vacuum breakers out there ($5-$7 range) require the unit to be manually depressed to drain it. This isn't something that I want to forget when I shut down for the winter, so I opted for Arrowhead's automatic draining option. Be aware that it does fan out your water stream a bit, so at minimum I would recommend adding a small length leader hose so control the spray.
